Beer Labels in Motion is primarily an Instagram account that, well, animates beer labels. Pretenseless, delightful, and impressive. Worth a follow. Beer!
2. App To Track & Find New Things To Watch
Reelgood is my go-to app for:
  1. Finding where to watch a show or movie
  2. Tracking what you watch
  3. Discovering new titles
When setting up, you personalize the service by selecting all the streaming and cable channels you subscribe to. Finding where to stream something is no longer a hassle, and their recommendation algorithm for new titles is pretty good.
It’s available on the web, iOS, and Android and is 100% free to use.
Reelgood: Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, HBO and 150+ others all in one app.
3. Create New Google Docs Instantly
If you use Google Docs (or Sheets, Slides, or Forms), assuming your browser is signed-in to your Google account, simply type or (full list below) into your browser’s address bar, and voila, a new Google Doc is automagically created.
Here’s the full list of URLs:
4. Free, Single-Use Credit Cards (referral link) is a free service where you can generate single-use, time-limited, spend-limited, or per-vendor credit cards, quickly and easily. Connect your bank account, and acts as the intermediary, only allowing for charges per the limits you set on a per-card basis. Creating a new virtual credit card takes a few seconds, and you can manually deactivate cards at any time. If you use enough, you can earn 1% cash-back rewards in the form of credit to
Some potential use cases:
  • Free trials that require credit cards. Create a single-use card, enter it for the free trial, and cancel it right away to prevent the actual charge automatically processing.
  • You’re unsure about the website you’re purchasing from and want to limit your exposure beyond that one purchase.
  • You’re buying a gift and want to hide where you’re purchasing from on your bank statement. (Turn on ‘Discreet Merchants’ in the settings.)
I’ve personally used for a few random examples like the above. It’s a great option if you dislike having your credit card number out in the wild.
Note: If you sign up through the link I shared, you and I both get $5 in free credit for the service. Here’s a non-referral link:
5. Run Better Meetings At Work
Marketoonist - meetings, meetings, meetings
Marketoonist - meetings, meetings, meetings
I’ve been using Navigator for over a year now to help run better meetings at work. It’s completely free (for now, at least) and an excellent way to follow the basics to make meetings actually successful:
  1. Collaboratively set an agenda before the meeeting
  2. Keep everyone on topic during meetings
  3. Take contextually relevant meeting notes
  4. Capture and assign action items
  5. Send out meeting recaps automatically
With such a high number of people working remotely, evolving how we run meetings is worth a rethink. Navigator helps make the time used in meetings more efficient and less prone to the above cartoon scenario.

6. Best Way To Share A Podcast
I love podcasts. But sharing a podcast with someone else is a pain, mostly for the recipient. Whatever app you use doesn’t mean the person you’re sending it to does. I use (and love) PocketCasts, but others use Overcast, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, on and on. But sharing a link from any of these only shares a link that plays nice with that podcast app.
To help with this, is a dead simple web service that indexes all public podcasts and allows you to share the path to a podcast show page OR an individual episode. The recipient chooses to listen in their app of choice; no more Googling or manually searching in your podcast app required. is 100% free, and no account set-up is needed. Just navigate to the site and search. - share podcasts quickly, easily, and universally - share podcasts quickly, easily, and universally
That’s it! For next week, I’m chewing on my thoughts regarding the announcement from Google that they’re moving “towards a more privacy-first web”. There’s a lot to unpack here, and I hope to share my thoughts with you all next week.
Be well, my friends!
